Lita Von Zane's creators Carola and Michael (aka Country) met on a movie set in Hollywood 2007.  Inspired by Country's river sweet fishing days to Carola's salty surfs on the beach came their first collection "Licorice". 

Carola and Michael have their Lita Von Zane studio in West Hollywood where a lovely three legged dog and a stripe cat welcome you.

Carola's interview

"I am an Islander with a rock & roll soul that knew since "before birth"  that i   wanted to be a part of the La la land of Hollywood", says Carola as she unwraps a  lolly pop. 

Her journey began at 17 when her parents packed her bags and sent her miles away from the Caribbean to study in Boston. After school, Carola decided to travel around the world and explore different cultures.  In her designs you will find an influence from the different Countries she has visited combined with her Puerto Rican soul. 

"I believe life is a spare time..we are here now and  we should live it all the way...Laugh a lot, kiss a lot, cry a lot, save a mutt, kiss a lot, get a cat or two, travel lots, flirt...oh yes flirt !, dance, sing and luv like there is no mañana, and did I mentioned...kiss a lot".

Michael aka "Country"

As he tunes-in his electric guitar and with a deep mid-western accent,  Michael shares with us his passion for perfect crafting "It is all in the details ", he says. 

During the winter of 2006 Michael rode his motorcycle one way from the "Show Me" state of Missouri to the "Golden State" of sunny California with only his bagpack on his back. 

Michael enjoys working with raw materials such as wood and metal.  He appreciates history not only for the context but for the style as well.
